The veil is thin tonight.

Build an ofrenda

A candlelit digital altar for the people you still carry. Lay out their favorite food, a song, a story. An open-weight model helps you write a remembrance and channels short messages in their voice. Everything stays on your device.

Your altar is empty

Build an ofrenda for someone you carry — a grandparent, a friend, a dog, anyone. Ecos helps you write the remembrance.

How the open pieces fit

The model

Ecos talks to an open-weight chat model served through the z-ai-web-dev-sdk. The system prompt, temperature, and voice are all in the API route — fork it and point at Ollama or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

The data

Names, photos, stories, and channeled messages live in your browser's localStorage — not on a server. Close the tab and reopen tomorrow: your altar is exactly where you left it.

The voice

Spirit messages are read aloud with your browser's built-in Web Speech API. No audio leaves your machine, no voice is rented from a closed cloud.

Try it: build an ofrenda with a name and one offering, light the candle, and ask the model to write a remembrance. Then drop a question into the channel and hear the answer back.
